In Spirit Aurora I & II, I sought to channel the untamed beauty of the natural world—specifically, the awe-inspiring spectacle of auroras and the vast, unknowable energy of the cosmos. Using layered rainbow pigments, shattered glass, and fluid resin, I created a swirling landscape that feels both atmospheric and otherworldly—like clouds of stardust suspended in motion.
Though abstract, this diptych is deeply rooted in natural phenomena: light, movement, and transformation. The scattered resin drips evoke rainfall or molten light, while the fractured glass mimics the sparkle of minerals or ice formations catching the sun. Together, the two panels create a visual meditation on nature’s ability to be chaotic yet harmonious, fragile yet infinite.
This work is a reminder that we are not separate from the universe—we are made of the same elements that light the sky.
