Fragments II explores the quiet beauty of surfaces transformed by time, erosion, and the accumulation of layers.
A restrained palette of soft ivory, pale blue-green, muted gray, and subtle earth tones creates an atmospheric composition reminiscent of weathered stone, mineral deposits, and water-worn surfaces. Beneath the delicate color shifts, an intensely tactile ground emerges through raised textures, granular passages, scraped marks, and layered material.
The horizontal movement across the center creates a subtle sense of transition—a meeting point between atmosphere and earth, stillness and movement. The densely textured lower field invites closer viewing, revealing countless small fragments embedded within the surface.
