After the Fall explores what remains when a season, a struggle, or a former version of oneself has passed. An ancient, bare tree emerges through layers of turquoise, burnt orange, ochre, and luminous light, its sweeping branches reaching into an atmospheric field of scraped and weathered surfaces.
The tree is not presented as a symbol of fragility, but of endurance. Its stripped branches reveal structure rather than loss—an elemental presence that has survived the falling away. Beneath the visible layers, traces of gesture, abrasion, and buried color suggest time, memory, and transformation.
The luminous space behind the tree becomes a quiet threshold: not an ending, but what comes after.
After the Fall is part of ROOTED, a collection exploring trees as vessels of memory, resilience, connection, and becoming.
