At its center, a female profile materializes from an eruption of texture, light, and fragmented matter. Suspended between formation and dissolution, she appears to emerge from forces both geological and deeply human—part landscape, part memory, part awakening.
Developed intuitively over many months and completed just weeks before a deeply meaningful ceremonial experience, the painting only revealed its full meaning afterward. The ceremony did not create the work; it illuminated what my subconscious had already expressed. What I had believed to be an abstract painting had quietly become an unexpected self-portrait.
Subtle floral forms echo the memory of my mother, Floarea—Romanian for "flower"—while the painting reaches beyond autobiography to explore the universal experience of becoming.
